This is an implementation of the algorithm for calculating the Structural SIMilarity (SSIM) index between two images. Please refer to the following paper: Z. Wang, A. C. Bovik, H. R. Sheikh, and E. P. Simoncelli, "Image quality assessment: From error visibility to structural similarity" IEEE Transactios on Image Processing, vol. 13, no. 4, pp.600-612, Apr. 2004.

采用LDPC编码对随机的二进制序列进行纠错编码和基带调制，在AWGN信道上进行传输，然后在接收端并采用合适的方式进行解调和译码，最后对纠错编码的性能加以分析。(LDPC codes using random binary sequence of error-correcting coding and base-band modulation, for transmission in the AWGN channel, and then at the receiving end and use the appropriate manner demodulation and decoding, error correction coding on the performance of the final analysis.)

proposed filter-based algorithm uses a bank of Gabor filters to capture both local and global details in a fingerprint as a compact fixed length FingerCode. The fingerprint matching is based on the Euclidean distance between the two corresponding FingerCodes and hence is extremely fast. We are able to achieve a verification accuracy which is only marginally inferior to the best results of minutiae-based algorithms published in the open literature
