应用背景盲信号处理中的盲源分离(Blind source separation，BSS)是近几十年来发展起来的--l"]新的研究领域，它的研究目的是即使源信号 以及它的混合方式都不知道的前提下，仅仅由源信号的一些统计特性，然后根据所观测到的混合信号来恢复出我们想要得到的源信号。关键技术基于峭度的FastICA算法使用固定点算法进行迭代，收敛速度比较快，但是对于迭代过程中用到的梯度下降法更新原则，使得步长的选择非常重要，步长选择太大或者太小都会出现收敛效果差或者不收敛的情况，本文在原算法的基础上引入了共轭梯度法，共轭梯度法的收敛速度通常优于普通梯度法，而且其收敛效果也相对稳定，不会像基于峭度的FastICA原算法一样出现鲁棒性差的问题。通过Mat lab仿真实验也证明了改进算法的有性。

The reason that the way of calculating the total variance is a good  qualitative method of describing how the image is affected with the added  noise, is that the output of the total variance formula is describing how  the value of the pixels of the image were close to each other.  This was done through summation of the average variance in a window of 3X3  pixels.
