    专家系统(expert system)是人工智能技术应用中最成功的一个分支。在机械产品设计开发过程中有效地运用专家系统,对提高产品质量、缩短产品设计周期、降低开发成本等具有重要意义。 图形处理及工程计算,特别是后者是开发机械设计专家系统所面临的主要难题。本文在系统研究MATLAB软件的强大计算功能和专用工具箱的基础上,尝试利用MATLAB完成机械设计专家系统中的工程计算问题。 基于这种思路,本文着重探讨了利用Microsoft公司的Visual C++6.0编制前台程序时,通过MATLAB所提供的各种接口功能,调用MATLAB软件的计算功能,解决机械设计专家系统中的工程计算问题 并以Visual C++6.0和MATLAB作为系统的集成开发环境,尝试开发了适用于Windows98/NT/2000操作系统下的外螺纹轧机轧制系设计专家系统。 本系统中,利用后台的MATLAB计算引擎对用户提交的初始参数进行计算推导,从而帮助设计者完成主要设计参数的计算和结果分析任务,提高了设计计算的精确性和效率。(Expert system (expert system) is the most successful application of artificial intelligence, a branch. In the process of mechanical product design and development of effective use of expert systems, to improve product quality, shorten product design cycles, reduce development cost is important.
