本文介绍的是一种改进的SPIHT算法，是基于图像编码的小波系数块的，它主要是把四个系数分成一个块，与阈值比较，分出重要与非重要，在进行编码。(This article is a modified SPIHT algorithm is based on the wavelet coefficients of image coding block, it is mainly divided into the four coefficients of a block, compared with the threshold value, separate the important and non important, during the encoding.)

SCORCH quick start: ------------------- 1. Within Matlab, navigate to the SCORCH installation directory. 2. Enter "scorch" at the Matlab command prompt to run the game. 3. For game controls and additional information, enter

This project has proposed an alternate novel method of finger vein and finger texture recognition system .This system has taken more advantage than the existing system in term of security purpose since the vein pattern is not visible to human vision without any special device, it will not produce any trace in any object. We examined a complete and fully automated approach for the identification of low-resolution finger surface / texture images for the performance improvement

The matlab code is designed to solve linear systems of equations using the Jacobi Method.
