-　The study of image segmentation is an important problemfor image processing ,Level set methodis an effective tool for describing the curve with curvature2related speed evolvement . this paper studies the method of evolvement for the level set curve and expatiates on the principle of the level set method in detail . In this paper ,the level set method is applied in segmentation of image.
