This paper proposes the use of a common DC link in residential buildings to allow customers to inject theirsurplus power that otherwise would be limited due to AC power quality violation. PSCAD-EMTDC platform is used to simulate and study theproposed approach. This paper suggests that this structure can be a pathway to the future DC powersystems.
