In the literature consulted different nomenclatures are used to designate search engines. Authors such as Ledford (2008) and Enge et al. (2010), call it "search engine", but there are some authors, such as Jerkovic (2010), who use the name "search tool" and others still use only the name "search engine" or "search tool".
