(Overview of FBG sensors in recent years in various fields of engineering structural health monitoring, oil industry, power industry, geotechnical engineering, aerospace, mining, blasting, transportation and medical and other applications. Article that the main factor limiting FBG sensors and large-scale industrial applications is the lack of a unified design theory and production methods, which makes the sensors from different manufacturers specifications differ. In addition, due to the complexity of the production technology and sophisticated production process so that the sensor higher production costs, but also the practical application of fiber grating sensor product is not much, and the price is very high. Based on the above analysis, the article on the future direction of the technology raised the prospect.)
